Fox & Lillie Rural hosted the official opening of their new Tamworth Wool Store on the 22nd of August, located in the recently developed Global Gateway Park in Tamworth.
Over 65 woolgrowers and industry representatives attended the opening, with honorary guest speaker, John Anderson, the Former Deputy Prime Minister of Australia, who declared the wool store “officially open!”
Fox & Lillie has a strong history in the New England district, with a very solid presence through its wool stores in Uralla and Inverell. The new 1920 square metre wool store is managed by David Hallam, alongside his team Bill Northey and Warwick Richards and offers full AWTA testing and storage facilities which will increase Fox & Lillie Rural’s brokerage capabilities to compliment the company’s existing wool marketing services in the region.
Fox & Lillie Rural’s Managing Director spoke at the event and credited the new store to the vision of their creative staff. “Daniel Charters, Jeff Angel, David Hallam and Andrew and Matt Wilkinson were drivers of this fine development. A big thank you to quality builder Rob Segboer who finished the store on time and budget, so many thanks to Rob for your great work.”
Jonathan Lillie said the expansion during the company’s 76th anniversary was a reflection of the company’s faith in the continuing future of the Australian wool industry.
“Fox & Lillie Rural is continuing to invest in the wool industry to help ensure regional communities continue to grow and prosper. We promise that we will not leave a stone unturned in seeking new markets, new technologies or new marketing platforms through which we can maximise your returns on wool.”
A big thank you also goes to Pumbumburi P&C who did an excellent job catering the opening event.
We thank everyone for joining us for the official opening of our Tamworth wool store and we look forward to our Tamworth, Uralla and Inverell wool stores continuing to provide a sound and professional service to woolgrowers in the New England region.
