Week Ending 12 November 2021 (Week 19) The AWEX EMI finished at 1319¢, 21¢ lower (-1.6%) in Australian currency and 26¢ lower (-2.6%) in US currency at sales in Sydney, Melbourne and Fremantle in Week 19. 37,630 bales were on offer nationally, compared with 38,359 bales last sale. 14.2% of the offering was passed in after 5.3% of the potential offering was withdrawn prior to sale. 32,271 bales were sold. AWEX reports that the value of the wool sold was $50.7 million ($1,571 per bale), taking the season total to $823.5 million ($1,613 per bale). The number of bales sold at auction this season is now 28.5% greater than in 2020/21.
